Featuring a balcony and a garden this holiday apartment is a winner for anyone wishing for a peaceful stay in Amsterdam West.
It looks like someone’s cosy home and it feels that way too. This is a very inviting Amsterdam holiday apartment and one that you can instantly relax in and make your own. Set on the first floor it includes comfortable furniture, modern amenities and interior decorative items such as wall art, plants and lamps. Its biggest appeal are the balcony and garden and what a perfect addition to any holiday they are as you relax outside in the fresh air enjoying the sunshine, eating, drinking or even sunbathing. The balcony is covered so can be used at any time of the year too. You are directly linked to the garden via the stairs from the balcony so can easily pop in and out as you please. As you wake each morning you can undrawn the curtains in the bedroom and freshen up by the sink and mirror before hitting the shower in the bathroom.

Amsterdam West is an area that is great for relaxation. This is the place to mix with locals who are living out their day-to-day lives. As you walk the streets don’t be surprised when you are greeted by the passers-by so don’t be shy to say ‘hoi’ back. Adding to the whole peaceful holiday element are the parks in the district. A small park called Erasmuspark is a short walk away and is a particularly pretty park with a flower garden and a canal that surrounds the whole park. About a fifteen minute walk away are Westerpark to the north and Rembrandtpark to the south of the apartment. These major city parks hold regular yearly events too so it is worth checking their calendars. If you do not have a car it may be handy to rent bikes for the duration of your stay as it means getting around the area quickly and at your own pace. Outings to the city centre are made easy with the nearby tram stations and the close proximity to the A10 ring road makes your commute to Schiphol a short ten minute drive.

We stayed for 5 nights as 2 couples in this delightful apartment. The location could not be more perfect, away from the noise of the city yet less than a 5 minute walk to the metro which will take you to the centre. Kitchen facilities were more than apt for us cooking breakfasts each morning and would also be great for cooking evening meals. The supply of coffee, tea and sugar was a nice touch. For those concerned about the sofa bed, you need not worry as this was very comfortable. The lounge is seperate from the kitchen (which has it's own door to the garden) and so can be treated as a private bedroom. The bathroom is small although this was never an issue for us. The garden is beautiful and well maintained with the advantage of a BBQ. The area is nice and quiet. Janeth had a wealth of local knowledge and provided us with maps, information about public transport and recommended places to visit. Highly recommend this place!
