Situated on the Canal Belt, this is possibly the most beautiful district of Amsterdam. You will never tire of the exquisite 16th century warehouses, townhouses, narrow streets and little bridges that surround you.

The beautiful Vondelpark is also only minutes away where your can relax in the charming Art Deco-style Blue Tea House sipping an Amsterdam coffee as you watch the wild parrots fly overhead! Alternatively you can hire bikes and cycle down the near-by Amstel River. Enjoy the windmills and beautiful countryside and visit the ancient town of Ouderkerk for a leisurely day out. The Plantage area is also nearby where you can see exotic plants in the hot-houses at the Botanical Gardens or visit the amazing Artis Zoo – one of the oldest zoos in Europe with one of the most successful animal breeding programmes in the world.
Take a walk down to the famous Waterlooplein Market where you can buy just about anything. Perfect for photo opportunities…who knows what you will find!
Take the tram out of town (or perhaps walk) and you will find yourself at Museum Square where you will find the world-famous Rijksmusem and the Van Gogh Museum. Immerse yourself in culture, art and the spectacular architecture of the area.
After long days out exploring the city you will absolutely love returning to the cosy House Boat apartment. Relax and be soothed by the gentle movement of the boat on the water as you drift off to sleep each night.
