This apartment is filled with light and air and feels extremely spacious and comfortable, owing mainly to the high ceilings and large windows in this excellently-refurbished building. Warm, polished wooden floors sit well alongside walls painted in pale tones, creating an overall feeling of relaxation. Subtle lighting adds to this feeling, and little personal touches such as eye-catching art will make you feel right at home, unlike an impersonal hotel room.

 

The living room has a big, comfortable sofa perfect for relaxing in front of a movie, and it also converts into a bed. The kitchen is modern and equipped with everything you need to cook at home, with a dining area for six people. The first bedroom is large but cosy, with a comfortable double bed, bedside tables and lamps adding to the cocoon-like feeling. The second bedroom has two single bedrooms. The bathroom has a double sink, as well as a shower and bathtub. You'll also find an extra guest toilet just off the main hallway.

 

Just a few minutes' walk from Central Station, this apartment enjoys an excellent location whether your short stay is for pleasure or meetings in Amsterdam and beyond. From Central Station, you'll have easy access to the airport and RAI Congress Centre, reachable by train in just 15 minutes. For leisure travellers, you'll find lots to keep you amused. Just a few minutes further than Central Station is the famous Dam Square, home to the beautiful Royal Palace, which is now open to visitors but was formerly the residence of the Dutch Royal family.

 

This square is also home to Madame Tussauds and the Nieuwe Kerk. You'll also find lots of shopping opportunities here, especially along Nieuwedijk-Kalverstraat, a road that ends at Dam Square. For department store shopping, the best is De Bijenkorf. You can also try one of the several malls in the area - Magna Plaza is in a beautiful building with a range of shops. Not surprisingly, this area is full of cafes and restaurants, and you can choose from the myriad available to you here, or the more neighbourhood-flavoured places closer to the apartment.
