The welcoming interiors of this great Amsterdam apartment are ready to provide a group of six with excellent accommodation and top location, close to the very centre of the city.
This amazing place is spread over two floors and grants enough space to provide you with an authentic sense of freedom and a truly pleasant living experience. Add to that a rich supply of useful utilities and a soothing décor and you’ve got a perfect base for outings to explore all the local attractions.
Feel welcome to enter the bright living area. The large windows ensure a big amount of daylight, so that you can relax and dine conveniently. Inside this ‘daily’ section you’ll find a nice sofa, a pair of stylish armchairs and a coffee table, which are complemented by a TV-DVD home entertainment centre, creating an ideal lounge area.
The other part of the living room is taken by a big dining table complete with a set of chairs and an open-plan kitchen, which comes supplied with a big selection of useful kitchen amenities.
The bedroom section offers three separate bedrooms. Two of them are furnished with a large double bed each and the third one features two single beds. You’ll also find there some additional storage space and some practical bedside items. Moreover, this wonderful apartment contains two separate fresh bathrooms – both fitted with a sink and a shower, but one of them comes additionally with a bathtub for your comfort.
This apartment enjoys not only a whole range of amenities to make your indoor stay comfortable, but also an excellent location to make it possible for you to make the most of all the major highlights of Amsterdam, many of which are found within easy reach around the spot.
It’s only enough to take a short walk to the east and cross the border of the green and laid-back district of Plantage to reach the Artis Royal Zoo – a great fun not only for the kids. The nearby Hortus Botanicus should also prove interesting to visit, and the surroundings abound with great eating establishments, so if you’re after a quick snack, you know where to go.
On the other hand, you can head north and explore the picturesque neighbourhood of the lively Noordermarkt, enjoy a cup of fine coffee at De Waag – a local architectonic landmark which used to be a weighing house, and continue to the west for a thrill in the one-of-a-kind De Wallen, which neighbours the grand Oude Kerk. From there it is really easy to follow south and reach the splendid Dam Square, the secluded Begijnhof or the colourful Bloemenmarkt – the only floating flower market in the world! And if you’re after some quality nightlife, go to the nearby Rembrandtplein to enjoy the offer of the local clubs and bars. And the legendary Canal Belt is just a stone’s throw to the west, so you can continue your sightseeing in a most fantastic setting you can imagine.
This apartment was in an excellent quiet but vibrant location. It was close to the Metro which gave you quick access to the Central Train Station which is the hub of the city and a pick up point for many of the tours available. It was also within easy walking distance to all the other main attractions and the Dam. The apartment itself was very comfortable with everything supplied if you wanted to do self catering as we did. Please note that there are two fairly steep sets of stairs to access this apartment then another flight to access the main bedroom and bathroom.Lesley - Date: 29-10-2012
