Warm, relaxing and modern, the Montelbaan Houseboat offers up to four guests the exclusive opportunity of experiencing life on the water in the centre of Amsterdam.
This beautifully furnished two bedroom accommodation combines a convenient location with peace and tranquillity, providing a welcome retreat to retire to after the day’s exertions. Surprisingly spacious and authentically unique, the houseboat supplies a range of premium amenities to ensure a rewarding home away from home encounter and an unforgettable Amsterdam adventure.
Boasting illuminating skylights and handsome wooden floors, the living area allows total relaxation, encouraging you and your companions to unwind with the flat screen TV from the comfort of the sofa or resident hammock. Dining inside the cabin reduces costs and grants a cosy evening of indulgence, with the fully fitted kitchen on hand to cater for all your culinary desires. The two bedrooms each share an appealing and serene ambience, comprised of two snug single beds and one luxurious double in total, with the contemporary bathroom completing the interior with a shower and a bathtub. Exceptional canal views, a desirable location and deluxe furnishings unite to offer a truly wonderful base for exploring Holland’s flourishing capital.
This superb holiday rental is strategically positioned to reap the full benefits of Amsterdam’s vibrant core, the verdant Plantage district and the city’s revitalised eastern harbour. Surrounded by an affluence of attractions and plentiful restaurants, the houseboat enjoys both centrality and convenience, yet resides on a peaceful canal free from noise and congestion. The vivacious setting of the Red Light District is accessible in a matter of minutes, granting immediate admission to the infamous passageways and illuminated windows scattered throughout this immensely historical and surprisingly picturesque neighbourhood.
The rejuvenated waterfront adjacent to the capital’s Central Station offers a delightful collection of establishments, particularly suited to visitors travelling with children, such as the fascinating Nemo Science Centre and the equally enthralling National Maritime Museum. A brief wander south will deposit you in the appealing and often overlooked Plantage quarter, characterised by its rich history and lush aesthetic. Tourist destinations are in abundance and include the ancient Artis Zoo and Botanical Gardens, the colossal Hermitage Museum, the prestigious Carre Theatre and the hugely popular Waterlooplein Flea Market, providing a seemingly endless array of venues to suit every discernible taste.

This was the second time I used Amsterdamapartments .com and on both occasions my expectations from the accommodation I booked has been exceeded. The service from the booking staff was excellent, helpful and knowledgable and the quality of the accommodation was first class. I would definitely recommend using them!

I can't imagine a better place to stay in Amsterdam: the boat is within easy walking reach of transit, services, and most cultural attractions, yet a restful haven from the busy streets.

There is no better way to experience Amsterdam then from this house boat. We stayed with two kids (10 and 8 year old) - there's a playground on the other side of the canal, not to mention nemo on walking distance, Carre theatre at a strolling distance and plenty of cool pubs for mum and dad to sneak to when the kids are asleep. Just sitting on the boat having a breakfast or a beer in the afternoon is in itself a treat! The people who own the boat are very friendly and helpful.
