You will find this well-designed apartment on the second floor an attractive old Amsterdam building. The studio features an open plan kitchen with hotplates, fridge and a microwave/oven. There is a small dining table for two persons to enjoy your meals together. Towards the back of the room is a comfortable double bed from which you can enjoy watching the provided flat screen TV and a DVD player. The modern bathroom is equipped with toilet, sink and a shower with two shower heads.

All bed linen and towels are provided for you during your stay. The bath linen we use is made of Fair-trade cotton which is produced in a sustainable and ethical way without using any insecticides in developing countries. We believe that by paying an honest price to local farmers their working and living environment is gradually improved step by step. This is a strictly non-smoking apartment which is also fitted with sensitive fire alarms for your protection.

The Plantage lies just to the east of Amsterdam’s city centre. With its beautiful tree-lined streets and architecture it offers lots to see and do. Look out for the world-famous Artis zoo, one of the oldest zoos in Europe, the Hortus Botanicus (botanical gardens), historic monuments, parks and the numerous popular theatres and museums. Within walking distance from the city centre it is also an oasis of calm all year round.

The Hermitage Museum is close by on the Amstel River. It hosts exhibitions incorporating all kinds of fascinating art and artifacts relating to Russia. For more culture and art head south a few stops on the tram to the majestic Rijksmuseum where you can see Rembrandt’s famous Night Watch and a number of priceless Vermeer paintings amongst other historic Dutch antiquities.

The apartment was everything I expected: clean, spacious, cozy and well equipped with alliances. Also, it is very close to all the major attractions of the city either on foot or by tram, with the tram station in 2 minutes walking distance from the apartment.
