You will find the apartment located in the north of Amsterdam behind Central Station. The area is an attractive, quiet and friendly suburban neighbourhood providing you the opportunity to experience life as a native Amsterdammer during your stay. The busy city centre of Amsterdam and Central Station itself are only minutes away however. Wander south towards the water’s edge, the River IJ, on foot and hop aboard the regular ferries which are completely free. The crossing from Buiksloterweg takes barely three minutes bringing you to the rear entrance of Central Station itself.
Most residents of Amsterdam chose to travel to the city centre by bicycle. There are many bicycle-hire facilities around the city and bikes can be taken aboard the ferries. Seeing the city on two wheels gives you a whole new perspective. Many visitors also opt for this method of transport as it is quick, instant, energy efficient, healthy, free and most importantly fun!
