The Canal Holiday Apartment located in central-western Amsterdam, right between Rembrandtpark and Vondelpark is a stylish and modern one-bedroom apartment for up to six persons. This exciting two-level apartment is a fantastic combination of tradition and contemporariness, blending the big windows, uncovered brickwork and sloped ceilings with state-of-the-art accents of décor. The lower floor consists of a generously-roomed bright living area furnished with one regular and one big sleeping sofa, an armchair, a coffee table and a TV set and of a fresh kitchen-dining area equipped with everything you may wish for some cooking and serving dishes of your own taste, including a desk and a big dining table with seating for six. On the same level you will find a bathroom – modern and fresh, featuring a bathtub, shower, sink and toilet. The upper floor is where the bedroom area is; under the pointy sloped ceiling and construction beams you’ll find one double bed, two single beds, a table and a few chairs – everything placed on beautiful wooden panelling. There is also an option to enjoy the view of the city without leaving the apartment as you have access to the outdoors in the form of a nice balcony. Because of the narrow flight of stairs the apartment may not be suitable for the elderly, the disabled, small children or those travelling heavy, but otherwise it is a great place to stay for those looking for stylish and exciting accommodation near the center of Amsterdam.

As you get to stay in one of the most interesting places in Amsterdam, with two of the biggest centrally-located parks on both sides of your place of stay, as well as many other attractions, you will surely find it interesting to explore in many different directions.

To the north-west you have Rembrandtpark which is said to be one of the more tranquil and leisurely parks in the city. It offers lots of space, delightful green alleys, ponds and plenty of walking and cycling paths. Opposite to this location, to the south-east, there is Vondelpark, visited by around 10 million people each year! Actually, this should come as no surprise as it abounds with breathtaking landscapes and exciting sights and venues, like the Filmmuseum located in a 19th century pavilion or the open air theatre hosting a number of diverse events.

 

Moving further to the east you’ll get to the Museumplein with the three most famous museums in the city, the Van Gogh Museum, the Stedelijk Museum and the Rijkmuseum. There is also an underground parking and a supermarket.

However, if you’re in for some more shopping, you might be interested to discover the varieties offered at the Farmer’s Market on Overtoom; the focus is on the ‘organic’, with a rich choice of baker’s goods, fish, cheese, vegetable and fruit, as well as good wine, and all this without breaking the wallet.
