The one bedroom Spiegel Kwartier Apartment is a spacious apartment in the centre of the Canal Belt and is suited for 5 persons who are looking for an exciting short stay in Amsterdam.
The apartment entrance is on the first floor and opens onto the fully equipped kitchen with an oven, a microwave, a dish washer and a fridge. Next to the kitchen is the dining area with a wooden dining table with four modern chairs. A sleeping sofa for two and a separate toilet are also on this floor.
Take the stairs up and you will step in a very spacious living area. Large windows allow lots of sunlight to enter. Here you will find a coffee table and a flat screen television.
The master bedroom is located on the third floor, with an en suite including a separate bathtub, a shower, a washing machine and a dryer.
This apartment is located on Spiegelstraat, known for its grandeur and world famous art galleries. This street is located between two of the main canals of Amsterdam, the Keizersgracht and the Prinsengracht. The other main canal the Herengracht is just a little further away.
The Canal Belt was built in the 17th century and only the very rich merchants or Heren as they were called could afford the big, monumental houses with typical Dutch gables along these three main canals. The Prinsengracht (Princes Canal) is the longest of the main canals running through the heart of Amsterdam. This canal is named after Prince William of Orange who was the stadholder or kind of prince in the 16th century and he gave the name Orange to our royal family.
Just south of the apartment and the Canal belt lies Museum Square, home to some of the city’s most famous museums like the Rijks Museum, the Stedelijk Museum of Modern Art and the Van Gogh Museum. The square is also home to the Concertgebouw, Amsterdam's famed concert hall. Unfortunately at present, Museum square finds itself in the midst of redevelopment with the Stedelijk moving to a temporary space and the Rijks partially closed. The partial closure of the Rijks is possibly a blessing in disguise with the museum at present housing 400 of its most famous works in what its website describes as the crème de la crème. There are also numerous cafes, bars, boutiques and restaurants in the area.

I stayed in an apartment on Nieuwe Spiegelstraat for my 21st birthday with 4 friends, and it was hands down the best weekend of my entire life. The apartment was excellent and exactly what we needed! Ample space, facilities were fine and the location was great. We paid for someone to meet us at the apartment and she let us in fine and gave us clear information on all we needed to know. Would highly recommend if you are looking for an apartment in Amsterdam :)

The appatment is in a perfect neighborhood, not to touristic, but still very well located. You have a supermarket only 2 minutes away. For young people this appartment is perfect, it is large, there is a lot of space, but there are no seperate rooms with doors only different floors.

From finding the apartment online to checking in at the office and getting to the address, every stage of arranging accommodation was a breeze. The apartment was even better than anticipated, with lots of lovely features, in a beautiful part of town.

Great location and pleasant apartment, an excellent base. Beware the very steep stairs if you have little children - this is a traditional Amsterdam house with a room on each floor and steep stairs between. Some night time noise from a nearby hostel full of students - but we really liked this apartment and would recommend it.

This is a very beautiful spacious apartment in a great location. Minutes walk to everything, we never used the tram. I would not recommend this place for families with young children and people that may have physical challenges. There are very steep stairs within the 3 floors. Also, if you want a quite place a night - it can get quite loud a night from partying people. Otherwise very clean and well presented.

Lovely apartments and good service. Majority of apartments are very well located and are within walking distance of everything! I would recommend them and booking an apartment is a great alternative to staying in a hotel. Thanks.
