Brouwers Canal apartment Amsterdam

Enjoy the homely ambiance inside of this canal side holiday apartment in central Amsterdam which sleeps up to four people.

This ground floor set holiday apartment may be the best way to enjoy Amsterdam; it is located in the city centre in a 17th century canal house and with views of Amsterdam's most picturesque canal Brouwersgracht. Feel at home inside of the primarily traditional decor which has great modern touches. It features tall ceilings, large panelled windows, a dark brown laminate floor and fire place with a large mirror above it. You will find that there is lots of space for the maximum of four people that can stay here including a large all-in-one living and dining room which is separated by an arch way and includes a table with six chairs, and two double bedrooms where one has a big wardrobe with mirror doors. There are two very modern rooms: the shiny grey kitchen which has all familiar functions just like in your own home, and the white bathroom that has both a shower and a bathtub and much storage under the sink. This holiday apartment also has a second toilet.

Location

You can find this centrally located Amsterdam holiday apartment on the edge of the Jordaan district, around the corner from the Prinsengracht canal and Noordermarkt square. With the Brouwersgracht canal running directly outside of the apartment what better reason to stroll this historic city centre and enjoy the views of its famous waterways. Stop for a rest at a canal side cafe or wander off into the side streets for browsing shops and visiting art galleries. This area is a predominantly residential part of the city centre so you get a great sense of local living. Just a stroll away down Brouwersgracht you can reach the West Indian House which was the base of the West India Company. With Noordermarkt square being just around the corner it gives you easy access to a regular market where you can buy fresh produce to prepare in the apartment. Reach Anne Frank House, Nieuwendijk high street and Centraal Station in only around ten minutes.

Fabulous modern apartment in an ideal location. I was a bit concerned about the noise upon booking as the area is familiar to me but the noise from the street is nothing extraordinary and the main bedroom is far enough off the street that it is hardly bothersome at night. For those staying in the 2nd bedroom or using the upstairs living room, be prepared for some street noise (cars, people passing by) until about midnight when it begins to taper off. Tiel (the host) is very nice & welcoming, he is very accessible with his family owning the corner cafe.

Staying in the Broewers Canal Apartment was a delight. It was exactly as portrayed on your site. The chandeliers and crown moldings were beautiful, but our favorite within the apartment were the bay windows opening directly onto the canal. Tiel, the owner, was there when we arrived and was most helpful in answering any of our questions. His family owns the pub/cafe next door. We enjoyed stopping by there for a cocktail and piece of his delicious apple pie. I would highly recommend this wonderful property, and when we return to Amsterdam, we plan on staying there again.
