A bit longer walk to the east will take you to Rembrandthuis (a museum dedicated to Rembrandt), and a bit further - to Hortus Botanicus – a charming botanic garden, which is a neighbor of Artis Royal Zoo – yet another great attraction! Alternatively, you can head south and stroll down the picturesque banks of Amstel, or go west and explore the strict centre of the city with all the famous local landmarks, including Dam Square, Oude Kerk, and Begijnhof. And if you’re after some quality nightlife, just go south and enjoy a night out at Rembrandtplein – a home to many of the best local clubs and pubs.
