This attractive holiday apartment gives you a fantastic mix of modern interior design and history as you spend your days surrounded by trendy furnishings and a contemporary décor but all located inside a grand 17th century building that was built to assist Amsterdam’s shipping industry. Being located on the second floor, which is the top floor of the building, gives you a fantastic attic style setting with a tall but slanted ceiling. The rooftop windows are a fantastic feature and add a whole other dimension to this studio space as much natural daylight travels downwards onto the apartment. Here you can get homely and cosy as you sit on the sofa for a bit of relaxation or call it a day and jump into bed for much rest before another busy day out exploring Amsterdam. In assisting with your self-catering needs you have your own modern kitchen with a number of appliances and cupboards to store and prepare food in with ease. The dining table and chairs give an extra homely feel as you get to eat in comfort.

Not only do you have a modern and cosy apartment from which you can enjoy your Amsterdam holiday but you also have a perfect residential setting from where you can easily and quickly reach some of the city’s best hangouts and attractions. Amsterdam’s Eastern Islands are on the edge of the city centre which gives you great links to the rest of the city by bus from down the road or with the tram from around the corner. In sticking to the immediate area you can find a number of other old shipping industry warehouses still standing but playing home to businesses or private residence. One such example is Het Scheepvaartmuseum where you can learn and the Dutch maritime history and see a ship replica on the canal next to it. Walk into the neighbouring Plantage district for many attractions such as Artis Zoo, Hortus Botanical Gardens and Hollandsche Schouwburg. Take the bus for a short ride into the main centre around the Red Light District, Dam Square and Amsterdam Centraal, or ride the tram for Leidse Square and Museum Square.
