This Amsterdam holiday apartment is located in the Oostenburg area which was once an industrial area and today you still get glimpses of its past with many of the large buildings that were used as warehouses by the Dutch East Indies Company still in place. Learn about the Dutch maritime history at the nearby Het Scheepvaartmuseum or walk into the neighbouring Dapperbuurt to browse the many stalls on Dapper Market which runs Mondays to Saturdays. Walk across the canal that is opposite the apartment building and you are in the Plantage district with Artis Zoo about a ten minute walk away. The bus from outside will take you quickly to Amsterdam Centraal from where you can catch national and international trains or connect to Schiphol Airport. Down the road from the station are the Red Light District and Dam Square.
