The sleeping area is set on the mezzanine section that you can access by the stairs; you still have views of the main floor but are nicely tucked away with the feeling of being in a separate room. Before you head for bed you might like to soak in the bathtub to recuperate after a busy day out exploring Amsterdam. There is also a second toilet for your convenience. Make yourself at home as you prepare food in the modern kitchen and relax on the sofa while you wait for dinner to finish cooking. Once you have set the table with four chairs you can eat in privacy as you would at home.

You can find much to do in the area nearby to this Eastern Islands located Amsterdam apartment, especially as it is set on the edge of this district, just across the water from the Plantage district. The area was occupied by the shipping industry in the 17th century and you can still see some of the grand warehouses but which have been renovated into modern living and office spaces. Take a walk through the immediate area and find many water views that your camera will love. Stock up your kitchen cupboards with a trip to Dapper Market which is only a five minute walk away. Enjoy a couple of hours in the nearby Het Scheepvaartmuseum as you learn about the national maritime history and see a cargo ship replica, or go to Artis Zoo for hours of relaxing fun admiring the many animals. There is much to do in this area but the bus outside and the tram around the corner will take you to Amsterdam’s major attractions such as the Red Light District, Dam Square, Leidse Square and Amsterdam Centraal.
