As you wait for the food to cook you can set the dining table and take a pew on the four chairs around it for a cosy at-home dining experience. You will find plenty to keep you busy in the Eastern Islands area and its neighbouring Plantage district. The main attractions that are up to a ten minute walk away include Het Scheepvaartmuseum, Artis Zoo, Verzetsmuseum, Hollandsche Schouwburg and Dapper Market. The market is the perfect place to buy well-priced fresh goods to prepare in the apartment kitchen. Your street is serviced by bus 22 which will take you to Amsterdam Centraal and the Red Light District and Dam Square areas that are next to the station. For Schiphol airport you can catch a Sprinter train from Centraal station which runs many times per day and takes only about fifteen minutes to reach the airport. If you enjoy the buzzing tourist filled scene then you will also appreciate a visit to Leidse Square and its surrounding area; you can reach it by Tram 10 from around the corner of the apartment. Disembark the tram one stop before Leidseplein and walk over to the Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum and Stedelijk Museum.
