This wonderful Amsterdam holiday apartment might well be a response to your needs if you’re a group of six looking for something chic, cosy, and convenient in terms of furnishing and location.
This modern apartment is located on the top floor of the building, so you can imagine that the outdoor view will be rather promising. But focusing on the indoor, the place is very cosy and homelike despite its rather contemporary character. The large and bright living area is optically divided into three sections, which makes the apartment really functional. There’s the ‘lounge area’ where you’ll find a flatscreen TV, a stylish coffee table, and a big double sofa bed; there’s the dining room with a classy dining table and a set of chairs; and there’s the open-plan kitchen fitted with a range of cooking amenities, so you will probably find it hard to ask for anything more.
Of course, there’s also the ‘night’ section which consists of two bedrooms boasting a tranquil finish. The master bedroom is furnished with a large double bed, and the smaller bedroom offers two single beds, so there are plenty of options to choose from when it comes to sleeping arrangements. A fresh, modern bathroom fitted with a double sink, shower cabin, bathtub, and a toilet is what makes this gorgeous apartment complete and ready to pamper you during your short stay.
You’ll be staying in the western dockland area – very close to the city centre, and even closer to the legendary canal belt or the bohemian district of Jordaan. So, what does it mean in practice? Actually, it means that the possibilities for quality sightseeing are endless. For instance, you only need a 10-minute walk to the south-east to be able to admire the splendid Oude Kerk, to visit the secluded Begijnhof, or to stroll along the busy Damrak full of most diverse attractions. Indeed, the heart of Amsterdam will be really that close from your address, but if you decide to explore the more southern part of the neighborhood – the lovely canal belt, you’re bound to enjoy a visit the vibrant Jordaan studded with amazing eateries, cafés, art galleries, and museums, or pursuing some shopping in the nearby area of the 9 Streets – a well-known paradise for shoppers!
Yet, if you’re in search of something more tranquil, you should definitely check out the picturesque Westerpark – a peaceful oasis for the active, and a popular venue for artistic events. It’s also a good idea to pay a visit to the EYE Film Institute which you may spot on the other side of IJ; you can take a free ferry from the city centre and get there in a flash – and it’s really worth it.
