The Weteringdwarsstraat Studio apartment is a warm, charming and modern studio located in the central Canal Belt and suited for two people looking for a lovely short stay in Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands.

This studio is situated on the lower ground floor in a 17th century monumental building and it has charm, warmth and style. The living area has a comfortable couch to sit on and watch the latest news on the flat screen television. In the same area you will see a charming, wooden dining table with 4 chairs. You can lie down on the comfortable double bed behind the couch.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas stove, a dishwasher, a microwave oven and SMEG fridge. You can use the toaster and the coffee machine to start the day with toast and coffee for two.

 

The bright and fresh bathroom has a toilet, a sink, and a bathtub with a shower head. Towels are available. The bath linen we use is made of Fair-trade cotton. Fair-trade cotton is cotton that is produced durable without any insecticides in developing countries. By paying an honest price to local farmers the environment of those who are directly involved is improved step by step.

 

This apartment is ideally located within walking distance to several of Amsterdam's most popular areas. Museum square with the famous Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum is very close by as is the vibrant Leidse square with its numerous bars and cafes. A short walk in the opposite direction will lead you to De Pijp, an area also home to numerous bars, cafes and restaurants. The apartment is situated within the beautiful Amsterdam Canal Belt and its location makes it possible to walk to almost anywhere within the city.

 

The Leidse Square is a lively part of Amsterdam popular with both tourists and locals, situated south of Amsterdam's central Canal Belt. During the summer months expect to see street performers, especially at night, while from the middle of November until Christmas the square has an outdoor ice rink. The area is also home to a vast amount of theatres, live music venues, bars, cafes and restaurants including theatre Stadsschouwburg, comedy club Boom Chicago, Rock venue's Paradiso & Melkweg, American Hotel and the night club Jimmy Woo. Leidse Square is the perfect place to spend an evening or night.

 

The Leidse square is not the only square in Amsterdam. Another nice square is the Rembrandt square which is cozy with lots of terraces where you can order a cold drink and then look the street performers or at the statue of Rembrandt, the famous painters form the 17th century who painted the Night Watch and many other paintings.

 

If you want to see more of his paintings then go to another square called the Museum Square. The Rijksmuseum is the largest museum in The Netherlands and has many paintings of the Dutch Masters, painters like Rembrandt and Vermeer and others.
