The Rembrandt Square II Apartment is a modern, spacious apartment located in a renovated 19th century building on the Rembrandtplein and is suited for 6 persons who want to explore Amsterdam.
This spacious apartment is immaculately furnished throughout and is a fine example of modern city living. The cozy living area has a comfortable double sofa with a DVD player and a flat screen television. Large windows allow you to have a great view on the Rembrandtplein. Do close the thick curtains at night to keep out some of the noise because this square is noisy till late in the night. The dining table is in the same area and it has room for 6 people.
The kitchen comes with a microwave, a fridge, a dish washer, a toaster and a coffee machine. So make a hot, strong cup of coffee every morning to start the day.
The two bedrooms are located at the back of the apartment and both come with two single beds. The bathroom has a bathtub, a shower and a sink and the toilet is separately located in hall.
Please note: This apartment is located in an authentic historical building with very steep and narrow stairs. Therefore it is less suitable for small children, elderly or handicapped people or large suitcases. The apartment is also located in one of the most vibrant night-life centers of Amsterdam, there will be an increased level of sound from the surrounding area in the evenings.
This apartment is located right in the middle of Rembrandt Square, renamed to honor Rembrandt in 1876 and a statue of the famed Dutch artist stands in the centre. The square is one of Amsterdam’s vibrant night-life areas surrounded by bars, restaurants and exclusive clubs. Another square with a vibrant nightlife is the Leidseplein or the Leidse square. It is always very busy on these squares and do watch out for pick pockets.
The apartment is within easy walking distance of many other interesting spots of Amsterdam. The Dam square is the heart of Amsterdam. When the weather is nice then this square is filled with tourists, locals and street performers. The tall pillar on this square is a monument to commemorate the Second World War in the Netherlands. Along the Dam you will see some majestic buildings, one is the Krasnapolsky hotel and the other is the Royal Palace.
Amsterdam has many museums from cultural museums like the Van Gogh museum to the Rijksmuseum with the Night Watch as Rembrandt’s masterpiece or popular museums like the Tattoo or the Sex or Erotic museum. This last museum is located on the Wallen in the Red Light district.
