Yet, if you’re looking for something more casual, you should head east to the district of Plantage and pay a visit to Artis Royal Zoo and Hortus Botanicus, both great places if you’re into fauna and flora. They are actually really close to the dockland area of Amsterdam, so why not head for National Maritime Museum or NEMO Science Centre to explore the theme of marine life?
