Eastern Park Apartment Suite 3

The Eastern Park Apartment Suite 3 is a luxurious one bedroom Amsterdam apartment located in the Plantage District on the edge of the city centre and suited for 4 people who want to taste the permissive atmosphere of Amsterdam.

Renato Perotti, an architect from Amsterdam designed this chic apartment with the intention to create a relaxing atmosphere. The living area has a modern sleeping sofa for two and a white, design coffee table. A flat screen and a DVD player are installed for you to watch the latest news on CNN or to see a favorite movie. The dining table has four beautifully designed barstools.

The kitchen is open and has an oven, a microwave and even a dish washer. This kitchen allows you to prepare a nice meal for your partner or for your guests. Use the coffee machine and make a hot cup of coffee and drink it while you are working on your laptop on the dining table. Wireless internet is available.

The bedroom comes with two single beds and the large bathroom has a shower, a bathtub and a toilet.

This apartment is named after the Oosterpark or Eastern Park. This was the first park in Amsterdam and it dates back to 1880. When the sun is shining many locals go for a pick nick on the large grass field or walk to the pond and feed the birds with the leftovers. An impressive sculpture called the Schreeuw or in English the Scream commemorates the murder of Theo Van Gogh. This artist and writer wrote critical articles about the Islam and out of revenge he was murdered in 2004 by a Muslim fundamentalist.

Take tram number 9 and it will take you to the Rembrandtplein in 15 minutes. The Dutch word for square is plein and Amsterdam has many beautiful squares. Many tourist and also locals come here because this square has so many terraces where you can sit down and enjoy a cold drink or even have a nice meal. The statue is the famous Dutch painter Rembrandt who lived in the 17th century.

If you want to know more about the Dutch Masters or the painters of the 17th century or of the Golden Age then the Rijksmuseum is a must to visit. With 200 halls filled with paintings and other art works this museum is the biggest in the Netherlands. The Nachtwacht or the Night Watch painted by Rembrandt is impressive but also the paintings of Vermeer, Steen, Hals or Van Ruysdael tell us that during the Golden Age Holland had so many painters at the same time which is unique.
