In about five minutes you can walk into Sarphati Park which is a smaller one of the many city parks but none the less special as it has a great relaxing atmosphere with clean surroundings. If you enjoy browsing at the markets or picking up fresh produce you will be happy heading over to the Albert Cuyp Market which is only ten minutes away. For drinks and eating out in the area stick around the market for Surinamese and Moroccan menus and beverages on the Marie Heineken Square. Next to the square is a popular museum called Heineken Experience, which is at the old Heineken Brewery. For the central Dam Square or the popular Leidseplein then catch Tram 4 from the near Lutmastraat.
