And with a number of places of interest in the immediate area this apartment is great for those who want to be in a quieter part of Amsterdam but with the central canal belt nearby even on foot.

Location

In just a five minute walk you can reach the Sarphati Park which is one of the smaller Amsterdam city parks. There you can enjoy quiet walks and perhaps picnics in the warmer months. A further five minutes away is the popular Albert Cuyp Market which is open six days per week. There you can enjoy browsing the stalls that are set out in two long rows and also trying some of the freshly prepared snacks such as stroopwaffles (caramel waffles), kibbeling (battered fish bites) and raw herring. The immediate area around the market has a great multicultural feel with a number of Moroccan and Surinamese restaurants. For drinks out in the area you can head to the Marie Heineken square for a number of bars and cafes. The square is right next to the old Heineken Brewery which these days operates as a museum called Heineken Experience. There is a tram station around the corner from which you can catch tram 4 for a fifteen minute ride to the central Dam Square and the neighbouring Red Light District.
