Enter the bright and roomy daily area and take a seat at the big sofa or at any of the two matching armchairs. Comfy? Then put your cup of tea, or that evening glass of wine, if you may, on the designer coffee table and switch on the TV to get some quality home entertainment. De Pijp is a home to many different cultures, so it will be as easy to find some pizza as to get some chicken curry. Still, in terms of architecture, the district remains strongly connected to the Dutch heritage, hence the natural orderliness of the surroundings should come as no surprise.

Yet, it all changes in one special place – the ever-busy Albert Cuyp Markt. With more than 300 stalls offering a mind-boggling number of different products it’s really difficult to get the hang of the local etiquette at first. It comes with time, though, but once you learn how to make your moves, a visit to the market will be really fun and rewarding.
