The centre of Amsterdam is a 15 minute train journey away but if you have time and feel a little energetic, you can walk along the banks of the river right into Damrak, in the heart of the city. The RAI Congress Centre has played host to some internationally recognised events and should you need to visit during your short stay, it's within walking distance or a ten-minute trip by tram from the apartment. If your stay is for pleasure rather than business, there's plenty to see in this area. You can travel into the city centre by boat, taking in some of the scenery on the way. Alternatively, the Hermitage Museum, which is connected to the Hermitage in St. Petersburg, is close by. The beautiful Frankendael Park, home to Amsterdam's only remaining 17-century country estate. There are plenty of bars and restaurants in this area, so you won't have to travel far for entertainment. Overall, a great location for a short stay in Amsterdam, whether it's for business, pleasure or a combination of the two.
