You can very easily reach the heart of the city in minutes by bus 22 that runs past the apartment and in ten minutes you will find yourself by Amsterdam Centraal from where you can catch a quick and direct train to Schiphol or from where you can walk into the Red Light District, China Town and Dam Square.
