This apartment is located on the second and last floor of a grand old building with tall ceilings and when you step inside you will notice the rooftop windows as well as the all new modern interior. The rooftop windows are a fun feature and allow light to travel in directly from the skyline as you sit and relax in your new homely surroundings. Feel extra cosy as you get to unwind on the sofa or eat meals at the dining table. And naturally all meals would have been home-cooked as you have your very own kitchen too; the kitchen is well equipped with various appliances and has plenty of space to store your food shop in. After a long day out in Amsterdam you can freshen up inside the modern bathroom.

Familiarise yourself with the former industrial area and take a walk through the Eastern Islands to find scenic views over canals and grand old buildings that were once used by the shipping industry and the likes of the Dutch East Indies Company. Notable places of interest in the area include the nearby Het Scheepvaartmuseum with a ship replica, the Werkspoormuseum that’s right next door and Muziekgebouw aan ‘t IJ which is about a twenty minute walk or tram ride away. This area is perfectly serviced by a regular bus and tram. Bus 22 from outside will take you to Amsterdam Centraal in about ten minutes and there you will find the main city centre and its Dam Square, the Red Light District and China Town. Tram 10 from around the corner can take you to Java Eiland in a few minutes where a big annual music festival takes place on King’s Day; take the tram in the opposite direction and in less than fifteen minutes you will find Leidse Square and the popular area around it. Leidse Square is also a fantastic destination for night life.
