Amsterdam has a number of markets and one of its most popular is only a five minute walk away from the apartment and it is called Dappermarkt and runs all day Mondays to Saturdays. See the city’s maritime history at Het Scheepvaartmuseum that is a few minute walk away and be amazed by the large cargo ship replica. You will have great links to the rest of the city with the bus that runs through the street and the tram service from around the corner. Jump on the bus for the heart of the old city centre around the Red Light District and Amsterdam Centraal or take the tram for the popular Canal Belt and hip hangouts like Leidse Square.
