De Pijp is a great area to stay in while you are visiting Amsterdam. It is hip and contemporary, close to the main city centre with reliable and regular tram services and has a number of places of interest. Just a ten minute walk away is the Albert Cuyp Market where you can buy clothing, accessories or fresh produce, the Marie Heinekenplein where you can go for a drink or food, and the Heineken Experience which makes a fun activity amongst friends and colleagues. The rest of Amsterdam is just a short tram ride away. Or go for a more locally preferred way of travelling around the city and hire a bike for the duration of your stay as you can travel in your own time at your own pace. There are a number of bike rental companies in Amsterdam and even one just outside of the central station. But if you would prefer to stick with public transport then there are a number of trams running from around the corner on Ceintuurbaan street from where you can in around fifteen minutes be at the Museum Quarter, Dam Square, the Red Light District, China Town or the Bloemenmarkt.
