The Dam Square apartment I Amsterdam is a two floor accommodation close to the Dam, the heart of Amsterdam and is suited for 5 people who want a perfect holiday apartment in the city.
This modern apartment is beautifully decorated with neutral colors, with black and white furniture and with wooden floors. Through the window in the living area you can see the Dam Square. Many concerts and other events are organized on this square so you will have a front seat. The living area has a comfortable brown sleeping sofa for two and two white armchairs to sit on while watching international channels on the flat screen or a movie on the DVD player.
The modern open kitchen is equipped with an oven, a microwave, a dish washer and a fridge. So you can make a nice meal and serve this on the attractive dining table for six.
Downstairs you will find one bedroom with a comfortable double bed and modern storage furniture to store your clothes. The other bedroom has a single bed. The private bathroom has a sink, a bathtub, a shower and a toilet.
With such a central location you can visit most tourist attractions on foot. However you will also find tram and bus stops right outside the apartment making it easy to explore the city further out of town if you should so wish. The apartment is only a few minutes’ walk from Central Station to take a train and visit other parts of The Netherlands.
Why not explore the famous Red Light District across the road form Dam Square. The streets become busier at night time and the general atmosphere is electric. The red neon lights reflect beautifully in the canals and there are lots of nice cafes and pubs you can enjoy a drink and watch the world go by.
Head down Rokin from Dam Square and spend a few hours at the Amsterdam Dungeons. Here you and your guests can enjoy a scary but fun educational experience and learn about the darker history of the city. There’s even a rollercoaster and a brilliant spooky gift shop at the end of the tour.
A great way to explore the city is to hire a bicycle from one of the many reasonably priced hire shops in the city centre. Amsterdam takes on a whole new perspective when viewed from the comfort of two wheels and you get to see the city at a faster pace!
