Fair-trade Max Havelaar Cotton
The bath linen we use is made of Fair-trade cotton. Fair-trade cotton is cotton that is produced durable without any insecticides in developing countries. By paying an honest price to local farmers the environment of those who are directly involved is improved step by step.
We always keep looking for new ways to contribute to a better environment.
This apartment is in the heart of Amsterdam’s oldest area, on the canal which was historically used as a harbour for merchant ships. Today it is a quiet residential area with a relaxed atmosphere, only a short walk from major attractions in the city. Captain Canal House 2 is within walking distance of Dam square and Nieuwmarkt, which is full inviting terraces to grab a drink when the weather is nice.
Fans of Asian cuisine will love wandering down nearby Chinatown’s Zeedijk street to eat at the famous New King Chinese restaurant, or the more casual yet equally tasty and bustling Thai Bird Snack Bar. Head to the Oosterdok to visit the impressive boat-shaped NEMO Science Centre or learn about Dutch maritime history at the recently re-opened National Maritime Museum. Travellers requiring public transport will be happy to know that Amsterdam Centraal Train Station is a 5-minute walk away, with easy access to anywhere in the city by metro or tram.
Great value and location, much better option for a family than hotel.John - Date: 12:32 24-12-2015 Source: AmsterdamApartments.com
Great location near the train station & bars & eateries. But also quiet set back of the road. Superb, spacious accommodation very easy to heat as the weather was very cold in January. Iron & board. Hairdryer, tea & coffee & dishwasher. All the beds were clean & very comfortable. Would highly recommend captain canal house 2 & will definitely be back.Phillip - Date: 19:20 28-01-2014 Source: AmsterdamApartments.com

no I don't.But I have a comment to add We enjoy our stay in this apartment...until last evening when a leakage of water coming from the roof of a bedroom occured.Your staff explain kindly it was too late to get technical assistance. After again a very polite and kind discussion-reason of the leakage was not clarified- I said that we cannot use this bedroom (2 beds)and we willhave to make "camping"in other rooms. What we did for our last night in the apartment That event doesn't modifie my appreciation ,but I think I can ask for a refund to compensate this damage totally out of our responsability. Please, what is your opinion and position? (if necessary I have photos of the leakage and the "camping"situation) Regardsjean claude - Date: 19:12 19-08-2013 Source: ShortstayApartmentsAmsterdam.com
